Hurd windows and patio doors come in a limitless array of colors, styles, sizes, shapes and other options. It could be confusing. But we've divided this catalog into "bite-sized" pieces to make your choices as easy as possible. First, choose between all-wood windows or wood windows clad with extruded aluminum on the exterior. Then, decide whether you need the extra protection of Hurd FeelSafe glass. After that, the rest of your decisions are just as simple. Of course, you've already made the easiest decision: choosing Hurd.
Our clad windows' exteriors are encased in a durable, heavy-duty extruded aluminum. It resists chipping, fading and denting, and makes painting a thing of the past. Inside, you'l1 still enjoy all the warmth and beauty of natural wood. We use select pine, ready to be stained or painted. It's also water-repellent, preservative-treated. Options include painted, primed and your choice of eight other wood species.

This high-strength, shatter-resistant, laminated glass is built to withstand the rigors of hurricane conditions. For coastal locations or other locales with high winds and frequent storms, Hurd FeelSqfe glass meets or exceeds the toughest structural codes in any coastal region. It gives you greater protection from intruders as well as wind-borne debris. Hurd FeelSafe windows are available with laminated glass or our laminated insulated glass that achieves the Energy Star rating.

If you've selected our aluminum clad wood windows and patio doors, pick a color. Our seven standard cladding colors were chosen to enhance almost any home design. But we also offer 20 special color options to widen your palette. And, if that's not enough, we'11 custom match any color in the rainbow. Our cladding consists of heavy-duty, extra-thick extruded aluminum with a durable, fade-resistant finish.

Whether it's our unique screen blind, our custom factory painting, or the simple elegance of our multiple hardware finishes, you won't make better choices anywhere.
With our primed or pre-painted options, your window and door interiors can be primed, or they can be primed, sanded and top-coated right at Hurd under ultra-clean-air conditions. We use a tough durable acrylic semi-gloss enamel white paint for our pre-paint option and the finest in application equipment.
The screen that's also a blind.
The Hurd screen blind is an ingenious option for our casement and awning windows. It's a single unit that combines a screen and a 1" or 5/8 " mini-blind. Choose from 16 standard blind colors and three standard screen frame colors.
Even the antique brass is brilliant.
Hurd offers you a selection of stylish, superbly engineered, beautifully finished hardware. You'l1 find a variety of options for handles and locking mechanisms specifically designed for each one of our windows and doors. With as many as eleven finishes to choose from, you'l1 be able to match your decor perfectly.
Hurd gives you the classic appeal of traditional divided lites without the classic cleaning headaches and energy loss caused by individual panes of glass. We offer grilles in the airspace, removable wood grilles on the interior glass, and our own updated version of the divided lite.
Outside, its extruded aluminum bars are finished to precisely match your cladding. Between the glass, optional aluminum spacers create the look of true divided lites. Inside, preservative-treated pine (or optional wood species) bars complete the picture. Also available as a wood divided lite, with water-repellent, preservative-treated pine exterior bars.
Our removable wood grille is the affordable, convenient alternative to divided lites. Simply pop out the grille, wash the window, and pop it back in. Available in knock down or full surround in select pine or optional wood species.
This is the easiest way to achieve the divided lite look. We actually seal the grille between the panes of glass. So you get the visual appeal you want without the grille ever getting in your way.
